2022 round-up: what an amazing year of achievements for CPRE London

This year we’ve done a huge amount to fight threats to London’s parks and greenspaces and make sure they don’t come under threat in future.

We’ve…

• Helped over 40 local groups save their local green spaces
• Grown our GoParksLondon project, supporting 100s of volunteer park friends to defend and improve their local park
• Ensured our 10 New Parks for London ventures are now closer to becoming a reality
• Led a major healthy streets project to deliver clean air and grey to green schemes all over London
• Strongly defended our Green Belt with major local campaigns in Hounslow and Enfield

A message from one of our local partners shows why what we do is so important and why local groups appreciate our support so much: “There are so many individual campaigns around London, all seeking similar goals and none especially familiar with the way to tackle the issue.  …”bottom up” can eventually work on a single issue, but when individual sites are starting from scratch .. they need the experience and convening power of central organisations such as CPRE.
