New CPRE London Operations Director appointed

Following the departure of former CEO Malcolm Goodwin, who stepped down at the end of 2025, we are delighted to announce that John Sadler will take on the leadership of CPRE London in the new role of Operations Director.

John has worked in operational, outreach and campaigning roles at a number of environmental NGOs over the past 20 years, including the Ramblers Association and Wildlife and Countryside Link. He was Operations Manager at Humane Society International before joining CPRE London as Campaigns Officer in 2021.

John is passionate about environmental issues and already well-known to many of our supporters and stakeholders through his work with local green space campaigners in London over the past five years. John says, “I’m honoured and thrilled to be appointed to lead CPRE London as Operations Director. Thank you to the Board of Trustees for this opportunity. I’m excited to take on this new challenge and look forward to leading our talented team of staff and volunteers to protect and enhance London’s green spaces”.
