Please respond to the National Planning Policy Framework consultation
The government’s latest draft National Planning Policy Framework is yet another alarming proposal that threatens nature, green spaces and local democracy across the country.
But there’s still time. The NPPF is out for consultation until 11:45pm on 10 March – and organisations and the public have until then to submit their responses. This is your chance to voice your views on how the proposal will affect your local area or community, and to influence national policy for the better.
Please respond to the consultation today and help us fight this harmful proposed planning deregulation.
How to respond
There are two main ways to submit a consultation response:
- Email your response to PlanningPolicyConsultation@communities.gov.uk
- Submit your response using the online form
Need a hand? Our friends at the national CPRE have made it easy for you. They’ve set out the key questions to respond to in the consultation, as well as some copy you can use to support your answers, and tips on how to personalise your response. The three focus areas are:
- Green Belt protection
- Rural affordable housing
- ‘Valued landscapes’ and the wider countryside
The whole process should take about 10 minutes, and it will help make a difference to how green spaces across the country are protected and managed.
Remember, when you’re ready to respond, head HERE for guidance from CPRE.
Responses due by 10 March.
