Other landowners / land managers

If you own or manage land in London and are considering woodland creation, be it planting a small number of shade trees, hedgerow improvement or a larger project we’d love to speak to you. You can email us at lets.connect@cprelondon.org.uk. You may also find the following information useful:

  • For larger projects, over 1Ha, it’s also worth contacting the Forestry Commission who can arrange site visits to help you plan potential woodlands that will be as beneficial as possible for your land / land you are involved in managing. To request a site visit please email SELwoodlandcreation@forestrycommission.gov.uk. The Forestry Commission also recommend the latest summary of woodland creation grants here.
  • The Woodland Trust’s “Morewoods” scheme may also be of interest for projects of 500+ trees on sites of at least 0.5Ha.
  • If you simply want to improve the condition of your existing woodland, we can introduce you to various volunteer organisations or social contractors with experience in woodland management. Additionally, the London Urban Forest Hub has lots of great advice on improving the condition of existing wooded areas.
  • Lastly, if you are considering putting up your land for long term lease, or even selling it, we can introduce you to organisations who may be able to help.
