We must protect London's green spaces Timur Valiev

Our goal is to ensure good access to enough quality green space for all Londoners, so we strive to protect parks, create new ones and encourage community involvement

London has just half the green space needed for its population. Existing green areas can be hard to get into, missing opportunities for health and wellbeing. And too many London parks are under threat.

CPRE London supports local groups, helping them save vital parks, enhance them and create new ones from neglected spaces. We champion green spaces, identify and publicise the reasons they are coming under threat, work to tackle the causes and advocate for new policy and legislation.

We have five projects in this area:

Green Defenders

London is facing unprecedented pressure on green spaces, despite their important health and wellbeing benefits. We are supporting campaigners to fight back
