The London Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) welcomed Neil Sinden as its new Director from 1 April 2017. For the past 18 months Neil has been working as a consultant based in the Wyre Forest about 20 miles west of Birmingham.  Previously he was Policy and Campaigns Director at CPRE National Office for many years. He has lived in east London for over 25 years where he was a committee member of the Friends of Mile End Park.
What are the real facts and figures behind London’s housing crisis?

Population in London is rising and so we need to build more homes – and we are building more homes: in London, 25,000 homes were built last year and there is space already identified for at least 560,000 new homes. We have a 22 year supply of land in London if we build 25,000 new homes a year.
