Invitation to launch of new report We are launching our important new report on the recent increase in threats to London's protected green spaces at City Hall on Weds 9 March at 9am (for 9:30 start) to 11am.
Wednesday 25 November 2015, Kingston University
The event at Kingston University launched the CPRE London report 'The Arcadian Thames: planning policy ignored?' which shows how the weakening of the planning system is putting the protected landscape of the Arcadian Thames under threat.
Saturday 1 August 2015
Chloe McFarlane, a volunteer at CPRE London, organised a walking tour of East London’s pocket parks and gardens, taking a group of Londoners from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and ages on a journey to explore green oases off the beaten track.
Saturday 30 August 12.30 to 14.00
Members who live in the London Borough of Richmond will know that the council leader, Lord True, is promoting the building of a dry dock and boat shed on land which is part of the riverside park of Orleans House in Twickenham. The 30m long building will take up part of a children’s play area and natural river bank.
During the summer months districts across London have a festival or town show. Many include celebrations of gardens and gardening, something close to the hearts of CPRE London. (We have a special interest in allotments and community gardens as we have done a review of these.) We know that our members are likely to attend their local show. But here is a list of local events to be held in September which may be of wider interest.
