Mayor's
rail freight threat to the Green Belt
The Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, is proposing to allow
several new freight transport interchanges to be built on
greenfield land in the Green Belt rather than on urban
brownfield land. We are asking people to write to
the Mayor urging him to reconsider. There are details of
the proposal below and a sample letter which you can use as
guidance. We would be glad to see any responses which
you receive.
